Choosing Your RV Rig: Class C

Choosing Your RV Rig: Class C - Traveling On The OutskirtsThe class C is a common type of RV that you’ll see going up and down the highways. Many people are drawn to the Class C for their medium size and ease to drive.

The basic anatomy to a class C is a RV build on a heavy van body. They do come in many shapes and sizes, some as big as class A’s.  And to be honest that might be the best way to classify them, a smaller class A. They are self powered RVs, so they have the same issue of pulling a second car for the sake of convenience.

You’ll also notice that they are widely used as RV rentals. So if you want to see what they are like, there is option to rent one before you buy.

Another nice detail about a lot of class C’s is that they have a small overhang over the cab that makes enough room for a cozy bed, which gives more room in the rest of the RV. They are also great for boondocking, so that when you come to a stop for the night, all you have to do is put it in park and crawl back into bed. And with other amenities such as full kitchens and baths, they are truly an optimal home for the road.

Great options, easy to drive, and plenty of room makes the class C a great option for living on the road.
